lol I guess I’ll find my answer in about 3 hours. It doesn’t need to me a “traditional” trap like they used to play pre CBA but if I see 1 pressuring and the rest sitting back and waiting in neutral zone i’m gonna venture to say they play the trap

Question…does NJ still play the trap? I didn’t watch much of their last series and didn’t pay attention to their style of play but I know they were notorious for the trap before esp pre lockout. They do struggle with the powerplay as seen it killed them in the florida series. Lucky for the flyers they have the most efficient pp in the playoffs right now. dump and chase is flyers kinda hockey and that’s the only way to beat the trap so bring it on NJ you got A LOT of work to do.

Anyway I hope bryz does well, no matter what he seems like a great guy and with this coming from possibly the best goalie of all time, I feel a little more confident with the man in net.
Hope Marty doesn’t retire this year. To see lidstrom, Marty, Selene and Alfie all retire this year would hurt the NHL bad.

It’s not too surprising Brodeur said this. Despite having an up-and-down year, Bryzgalov has a good reputation across the NHL.

Easy for people to forget he was a Vezina runner-up pretty recently, just because he has had a tough year in a drastically different city on a team that plays a style of hockey that hardly bears a resemblance to his old team.

I agree with Brodeur, I think things have and will settle down.

I think he’s taking a shot at his own team. “Philly has been great w/o a goaltender, now they have one and they’ll be unstoppable. Meanwhile, I’ve been here for years with mostly no offensive firepower…”

“That’s a team that’s a big market team that will pay the money to win,” We do pay money for good players, but lets not forget, we have a lot of talent on this team that came up thru drafting and signing quality players from other leagues.
