Actually, if you go back to the initial posts when the matchups were set, the majority of Bruins fans posting on ProHockeyTalk were saying Bruins in 4 or 5 and that the Caps were so inept they had no shot whatsoever. I even suggested the series would go 6 or 7 but not committing to a winner and that was greeted with laughter by Bruins fans, saying we weren’t physical enough, had no offense and a 3rd string goalie in Holtby. While I think it’s commendable that you’ll say other fellow Bruins fans were foolish if they thought it be a sweep, I think most thought Caps would get crushed, and were proven wrong. Hell of a series though. Ted Leonsis, Caps owner, said this was the best series in the playoffs he’s ever seen as the owner, and I think that should pretty much sum it up.

Milan Lucic is the dirtiest player ive seen this entire season. I love the NHL playoffs but players like this need to suspended no questions asked.

I strongly doubt many Bruins (or their fans) thought this would be a sweep. They’re not playing the Senators or the Leafs (two teams they dominated in the regular season). Any Bruins fan who wasn’t worried about this series, and about the unknown factor in Holtby is either lying or an outright homer.

Why is Holtby not nervous? Because he carried a 7 seed to a game 7 against a Bruins team who thought they would knock us out in 4 AND he’s successfully positioned himself to be the Caps #1 goalie next year. If anything he’s still building confidence. IF we win tonight Holtby will be guaranteed that #1 spot after knocking the #2 scoring offense (in the regular season) out of the playoffs.

I really hope he starts for us next year. Neuvy and vokoun do not have even close to the poise holtby has. Really looking foward to this game!!

Dude is a stud, who else comes into the playoffs for the first time against my B’s and shuts em down like that. We’ll see if he can pull it off, I hope he cant, but can’t blame him for anything. Should be a great game. Go B’s.

Don’t believe him. He’s nervous as hell. From the rookie to the Veteran..they’re all nervous in a Game 7. Nice to see he doesn’t admit it, though.
