The reason Moulson deserves it is highlighted in this video. It shows Cane D Gleason crushing Matt. Matt’s post is generally in front of or near the net and he takes a lot of abuse…but never retaliates. The same thing was shown in the last PIT game at NVMC. Brooks Orpik bodyslammed Moulson to the ice and then slashed him in the face. Even though the latter drew blood and required stitches, Moulson didn’t retaliate. He is of the same mind as mentor and frequent Byng winner Mike Bossy: nothing is going to distract him from his mission to score goals:
