PHT’s Morning Skate takes a look around the world of hockey to see what’s happening and what we’ll be talking about around the NHL world and beyond.

    SPEAKING OF RATS …

Tonight we LA Kings are facing off against a Vancouver team which is not just a horde of cornered rats, but now an “excited” horde of cornered rats ! Their win last Wednesday and the intervening delay since, has somehow served to embolden these people to the point that they’re now actually talking about who they would prefer to meet in the second round after they dispose of us Kings ! … can you believe that crap ? Not only is this naive and foolhardy on their part, it’s also incredibly flippant and disrespectful ! We Kings have these people down 3-1, their $65,000,000 goalie has been permanently benched, Kessler’s up for Oscar for “best performance in a dramatic role” and now the Sedin brothers are talking like they both have concussions ! … yet they’re already talking about the second round ?

At the risk of sounding redundant, I sure hope that Coach Sutter gives our Kings free reign tonight, so that we can be done with these people once and for all. Throwing them a bone the other night might have been the “right” thing to do then, but now it’s enough with the “nice guy” stuff ! The sooner we end this thing the better. Come on you guys, one more push and we’ve done it ! :) GO KINGS GO !
