No worries :)

I think it will be hard for him to stay as well but I think he has proven he can put a quality team on the ice for a very long time. How many winning seasons has this team had since he was hired back in 03 or 04 (I can't remember) but it has been a lot, and in a row too. Haven't they had winning season the last 6 years or something ??? He is willing to make deals and I personally think he did everything in the best interest of this club, just so happens it didn't work out.

I would give him a chance at a rebuild but I can easily see why ownership might think going in a new direction could make sense. If they let him go, Montreal should give him a call asap!

Let me ask you this- no snark intended, I mean it as an honest question.

With your post above in mind, that he traded the future for the wrong people... you're right, he could still sell off some of the bad eggs and rebuild. I agree.

But... since he was the one responsible for doing all of that in the first place, wouldn't someone else be a better choice? Since Wilson is the one who dropped the ball here, shouldn't he be held accountable for it, and let someone else make those changes- someone who has no connection to the current setup and so is more capable of making tough changes without their job status getting in the way?

To me, Wilson gave up a ton to get a poor return, and the results were obvious in this series. I find it hard to see how he can remain.

If Wilson does indeed stay then this sends a clear message to fans that ownership is not committed to winning, but instead maintaining status quo. Apparently the brilliant businessmen have not heard about repeating the same mistakes over and over again but expecting different results. Everyone knows what you get with Doug Wilson a good salesman with no vision for the future.

Get rid of Boyle too. He's a skilled player but he has a very low hockey IQ. Unfortunately Boyle, Marleau, Handzus and Thornton all have NMCs (I wouldn't get rid of Thornton though).

Lol you ^ dont know what your talking about! Just because we lost in the playoffs doeant kean wer the Edmonten Oilers now? I say trade Marleau and Maybe Thornton, get another goal tender so that Niemi doesnt play everynight ( just like the Blues) and keep Couture, Pavelski, Burns, Havlat, and Boyle on the team... These are the people we need to make a run get some new people around them... Younger, faster legs

I don't think he should be fired.

I do think he brought in the wrong guys this summer and traded the future to do so..... but if done properly he can sell some of the current assets while keeping Couture and could have a bright future in San Jose in about 4 years.

The best thing the Sharks can do is massively sell everything and go for next years draft which will be stacked in top 5 talent!!!

trading Coyle was the dumbest thing he could have done!!!!!
