There's not a lot to dislike about the Kings, I think if they can finish of Vancouver there's no real reason they shouldnt have a legitimate crack at the Final ... having said that, here's hoping I get to saddle up to the Winking Judge's bar and buy you and any other King fan I see a sympathetic pint come next Tue night to drown your sorrows.

Ya Helene is an absolute class act.

Interesting to hear Mitchell's comments and how different they were from Doughty's. The league continues to think you can stop them by "taking away their space" and playing them physical withouth realizing (and after all this time I dont know how you cant) that when you do that you're playing right into their hands.

Mitchell's spent enough time with to realize that they want you to come to them and they want to push em in the corner, they want you to put the pressure on one of them in hopes to stop the cycle. The true magic of these guys is their ability to make ridiculous passes through razor thin "openings" that arent even there. Puttin the puck where no one is up over sticks and through legs ... all in a 2foot radius.

You need to attack them before they possess the puck, and when they do have possesion you have to back off and box them out as much as possible. Which I assume is a lot harder than it was for me to type that...

MODERN DAY WITCHES ?

An excellent article by Helene Elliott of the LA Times (ie: I believe she's the one I heard being interviewed by B-Mac the other day here on Canuckle Radio ?) At any rate, I like this woman and she's very insightful with her analysis of the Sedins and their trickery. In earlier times, the Sedin's appearance and uncanny ability to know "exactly" where the other is at all times, would have resulted in them being branded as "sorcerers" and they'd have subsequently been burned at the stake. Fortunately however, we no longer live in such times. Yet that doesn't mean that we should be taking them for granted ! On the contrary, we need to overcome their chicanery "now" and the best way to do that is by being physical. As Willie Mitchell points out ... "you have to aggressive with them at all times, though never to the point of taking penalties, as they will make you pay". Nonetheless, I'm convinced that Coach Sutter will not be pulling back on the reins tomorrow night and that we Kings are going to emerge victorious in the end ! GO KINGS GO !

Daniel's return doesn't complicate things nearly as much if the 2nd line remains innocuous. The Canucks certainly can't bank on the Sedins having their way for 3 more games. Kings will make it harder for them than they did in Game 4.
