Hey, can someone do me a favor and pass this information along to Darryl Sutter?

With Detroit eliminated and Pittsburgh living to fight another day, we now know that there will be three playoff contests on Sunday. With that in mind, the NHL has released the following schedule for Sunday’s action:

Pittsburgh’s game in Philadelphia will start at Noon ET and be aired on NBC and TSN. NBC will also air Boston at Washington at 3pm ET, along with CBC. Finally, Vancouver will host Los Angeles at 8pm ET. You can watch that game on NBCSN, CBC, or FS-W.

All three of those start times were previously listed as “to be determined.”

    Boom

Washington plays in Boston on Saturday, too. Playing back-to-back days, in different cities is tough. It helps slightly starting at 3PM on Sunday. That is why Philadelphia and Pittsburgh play at that awful noon ET time slot. Huge games for all teams involved!

Its only like a 45 min chartered flight so it’s not that bad

Gotta set my alarm for 9 a.m. on Sunday . . . but that’s OK . . . coming back to tie the Flyers at three games apiece will be worth it.

Hate to say it …(Phi vs Pit). Winner on Sunday wins that series.

  7. maalea - Apr 21, 2012 at 12:44 AM

Dammit, that sucks. Flyers not very good in early games.

  8. phillyaces - Apr 21, 2012 at 12:46 AM

So your saying if Philly wins Sunday they have a chance to win the series. Good looking out.

This is BS, Pens flyers has been a brutal but exciting series. These guys just got done playing later on fri night and now both have to travel back to philly n play at noon. Give these guys a break! Plus I’m working so F off!!

Give them a break? OK, it’s called Saturday.

I can’t watch, it’s annoying enough to hear how the stealers have 6 superbowls and we have none, and they always beat us in the playoffs and have the best player and win more Stanley cups than us, but we are NEVER going to be able to live this one down. I would’ve preferred a seven series where it went back an forth whole time. Us Philly fans are once again taking our place as the ultimate example of martyrdom.

Just as well get it over with Caps can move on sunday now and philly as well. Better call in sick on monday this will be a good day!

Better than Sunday Football! No sport compares to NHL early round playoffs.

phillyaces, thanks for choosing to see the one outcome that I was not really referring to… (Why does everyone on here think they are a comedian?) If Pittsburgh wins Sunday, (though I hate to believe it)… Pens win this series. That is what I was saying…..db.

  15. eigglesnosuperbowls - Apr 21, 2012 at 12:40 PM

Hopefully the Flyers can put away the heavily favorite penguins !

    • kitshky - Apr 21, 2012 at 3:02 PM

No … you cant suddenly shift like that, not allowed. You guys have each been calling each other crap this whole time you can’t suddenly start acting like the plucky underdogs battling the big bad Pens because Pittsburgh has made a series out of it.

On that line of thought I’d like to suggest (for Philly fans, hockey fans, and Pens fans in particular) that the fictitous “army” of Pens fans should not be allowed to gloat and crow on and on if the Pens come back. (Suspend him for the series and fine him 1 weeks allowance)

If only because the kid didnt have the balls to comment or reply while Pittsburgh was having their lunch handed to them in the first 3 games. Just a thought…

Vegas has the Pens listed as -175 for the series ,it is what it is !
