Hossa won’t travel to Phoenix for Game 5

Apr 20, 2012, 2:19 PM EDT

The ridiculous assertion that the Blackhawks were keeping Marian Hossa out of the lineup in order to get Raffi Torres a longer suspension can officially be taken out back and buried in a hole with today’s news that Hossa won’t travel with the team to Phoenix for Saturday’s must-win Game 5.

Trailing the Coyotes 3-1 in the series, Chicago needs to win three straight games to avoid a first-round elimination. Suffice to say if the ‘Hawks could have one of their stars in the lineup tomorrow, they’d have him. And they’d have put him in for Game 4, too.

Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville said there’s been no change in Hossa’s condition (which doesn’t tell us much since we don’t really know what his condition is anyway.)

When did hockey fans start thinking everything is a conspiracy…what team on earth would sit a guy like Marian hossa to possibly lengthen a suspension of a stooge like Torres…oh yeah, and the NHL wants the penguins to win the Stanley cup and will do anything to make it happen, bin laden is still alive, and Obama is actually a manchurian candidate that had has birth certificate altered in the first weeks after his birth, because infants can do that sort of thing

Doesn’t JFK have something to do with Shanny’s rulings, too? And I knew that Obama guy was sneaky, I just didn’t realize he was so sneaky at such a young age!

That pretty much tells you all need to know that this is a concussion.

People actually thought that Hossa’s condition was being exaggerated to lengthen Torres’ suspension? Um, okay then. I guess they missed the part where Hossa got carted off to the hospital and could hardly move.

Exactly, because it’s good management to keep out one of your stars in exchange for some journeyman hack. Some people really are idiots.
