I don’t think he was trolling. Lidstrom’s injury has limited him to 5th defenseman minutes. He hasn’t played on the PK the entire series. Its similar to how Yzerman was limited by injuries in his final season and was forced to play 3rd line.

Hopefully, he fully it really is a bone bruise that is bothering him and not something that will turn him into the greatest 5th defenseman in hockey history, like what happened when Stevie Y became arguably the greatest 3rd line center in hockey history.
