Even Hulk Hogan turned on the Penguins

Apr 15, 2012, 7:47 PM EDT

It was always a fun thing to see Hulk Hogan in Pittsburgh on the big screen asking, “Whatcha gonna do when Malkamania runs wild on you?” whenever Evgeni Malkin had a big night at CONSOL Energy Center.

A curious thing happened during Game 3, however, as the Hulkster was on the jumbotron at Wells Fargo Center wearing the orange and black of the Flyers after madness again broke loose in the third period of the Flyers’ 8-4 win. Hogan had a special message to deliver to the Philly faithful.

The Hulkster traded out his black and gold gear to show support for Scott Hartnell and his encounter with a Penguins fan decked out in the Hulkster’s gear just last month. That’s the biggest heel move we’ve seen since the summer when both Jaromir Jagr and Maxime Talbot dumped Pittsburgh in favor of Philly.

The Penguins might need The Rock to step in and help them out now.

I’ve been a Penguins fan all of my life, and I’ve never seen anything like I have today. Completely embarrassing display. I understand being frustrated and maybe taking a whack here and there, but attacking the Flyers players is ridiculous and pointless. There is no trash talking any Penguin fan can do, because it’s not warranted. The Penguins are making Lemieux look bad, and it’s embarrassing. The series is probably all but over, but no matter how many more games there are I really hope we don’t see anything like today.

He lost enough brain cells from wrestling/steroids, so he fits right in with Philly fans!

This BS falls on the Pens head coach who started all this in the regular season. It takes a man to take a hit to make a play which the Flyers have done. The Pens are a bad joke and you think that a team with a Superstar who is one big hit from retirement would know better. What goes around comes around and the Pens have no one to blame but themselves.

His wife left him and started living with a classmate of hulks daughter… That’s the kind of thing that happens frequently to flyers fans so his makes total sense

Grasping at straws, dude, grasping at straws.

Pens fans were loving the Hulk…untIl yesterday that is, so what does that say for Pens fans. God you’re a dumbass!

  10. caps247 - Apr 15, 2012 at 8:54 PM

Ouch, a slap on the face for Pens fans.

Maybe if Fleury could start stopping the puck the Pens might get somewhere. The first goal by Talbot was horrid. I don’t think he could stop a beach ball at this point.

    • blackacre25 - Apr 16, 2012 at 12:00 AM

Looking to him for inspiration? No. Enjoy seeing him help mock the Pens? Definitely.

This is sad. Hulk needs to try brunettes instead of blondes: http://youtu.be/7NRRrnaz2uo

Its great to see that the Flyers can afford all the sandwiches it takes to get Hulk to make an appearance
