What was McDonald supposed to do in that situation? People say he had his head down, but the puck was in his feet. Should he have turned around and put he numbers out and get creamed head first into the boards? or should he have just given the puck up and not try to get it out of his zone? I know what Galiardi could have done differently. He could not have built up that much speed, jump, and hit him with his elbow head on.

Somebody get Andy a rag…look for the puck in your feet for four seconds and the odds are pretty good you’re gonna get drilled! McDonald plays way bigger than his size but like all small men getting run over by a bigger men, it’s always the big man’s fault! Man up Andy…?

At least in this case we get to see the helmet so we actually know that it is broken. We don’t just have to take the players word for it that it broke because a player would never embellish something go try goading the league into a stiffer penalty, would they? (Yes, I’m saying that Zetterberg’s helmet didn’t break and he lied.)
