Erik Johnson has been very good on both ends for the Avs, when healthy. He is the only good defenseman on that team.

And don’t forget McClement, he has been very valuable on the PK.

This was one of those trades where both sides won.

Oh, it’s still a heist. Shattenkirk alone is worth more than Erik Johnson. Significantly more. Johnson is a decent offensive defenseman, but only that. Shattenkirk is excellent all over the ice and still not done improving.

I’ve never thought Stewart was much to write home about, though.

What happened to this guy? Thought this trade was a total heist by Armstrong but apparently not the case. Seems like Shattenkirk has turned out to be the best player in the deal!

FINALLY! FINALLY! I’ve been saying this for weeks. Stewart is worthless. He’s a liability when he’s on the ice. I just hope his scratch means that Chris Porter is going to be in the lineup. Porter brings a lot more to the table and his style of play is what the Blues need in the playoffs.
