I am happy for Toews back playing and symtom free of any headaches but I am by no means a Hawk Fan. What really annoys me is the fact Keith is playing hockey right now when the Hawks need him and Daniel Sedin is still out and no time frame when he will be back. The 5 game suspension what Keith got was a NHL joke. The League is trying to eliminate head shots and this is all the hit to the head of the year gets.

I am new on this site but why is their talk about Weber and Hulk Hogan and Matt Cooke on this tread? Just asking.

Hulk Hogan gets good seats because the NHL is okay with becoming the WWF on ice. Why else would a good guy like Weber turnbuckle a guy?

Well, those hip checks of his are pretty freakin’ awesome. It’s too bad that they’ll probably draw clipping calls now for how devastating they look, but they’re usually textbook.

He’s one of the few defencemen left in the league who can skate fast enough in this era to pull off such an old-school check.

I got a good feeling about Ballard tonight … which of course means nothing. Here’s to hopin the Ballard that’s been a top4 Dman his entire career shows up and not the guy afraid to be himself.

Meanwhile Duncan Keith will happily play in game 2 and game 3 unless some cretin throws an elbow through his chin.

I’m a bit surprised about Ballard. I didn’t expect to see him back with the team already behind the ball on the series. He takes dumb penalties and makes plays in traffic that sometimes give the impression that he thinks he’s Paul Coffy (hint: he’s not). But at the same time, he can move the puck, is the only defencemen who regularly goes all-in to block shots and can generally play well against the opposition a #5,6 defenceman draws.

He was going to play when he saw the Hawks tie it up, but when they ended up losing he thought he might as well keep the charade up…
