I was listening to coverage of this on the radio. They were speculating that Sutter and Feaster were at odds over this team's future. Apparently one thought that with a few small moves, the Flames could be a contender, while the other thought that they needed to strip the team down, trade its assets and start a full re-build. I guess we'll see where Feaster stands on this issue over the summer.

Flames do the right thing and start cleaning house. Good call.

Buffalo, Colorado, New York Islanders, all decide to stay the course on mediocrity, meanwhile. Not quite so good.

I don't think Brent Sutter is the Flames big problem right now.

The problem is that their hockey team is not good enough.

is it as simple as that, mr. sutter? as an avs fan i believe that any team in the northwest that fails to capitalize on the ineptitude of the division as a whole (save vancouver) can be easily and truthfully labeled as a BAD team. if not for minnesota's otherworldly free fall , calgary, with a .479 win % under brent sutter, is arguably the worst. so, exactly which team would want this guy?
