According to Nick “Man of Many Faces” Kypreos of Sportsnet, Hall of Fame forward Luc Robitaille is in the running for the Montreal Canadiens’ general manager job.

Kypreos is hearing that the Habs will reach out to Robitaille to discuss the position that opened when Pierre Gauthier was fired.

Robitaille is currently an executive with the team he spent of his career with, the Los Angeles Kings.  (His title is President, Business Operations, Alternate Governor.)

He speaks French, English and a tiny bit of Swahili.

Luc is the nicest dude in the world, but…..he has concentrated on the business side of the operation with the Kings…..he would help in Montreal from a PR perspective, but they would need to add a top rank personnel guy to give him a fair chance….
