Pretty Insane that the league is working so hard to keep a failed franchise in town when a larger market with a new arena online is just waiting. Makes no sense to keep losing money in PHX/Glendale when you could be making it hand over fist in SEA.

YESSSSSS! Hope this is true. Despite what all the critics say Phoenix is becoming a Hockey Town. We have one of the busiest rinks in the country (Ice Den) and 5 other rinks that are busy all the time. We have a healthy and growing youth hockey program producing talented players. And we have an upcoming NHL team with an awesome coach and cunning GM.

I am excited about this possibility. Thank you to the NHL (and Gary Bettman) for holding out and allowing this to happen.

I’d love to say that I’m hopeful that this will turn out better than all of the other previous attempts at resolving this issue, but… let’s be honest here, does anyone really think this is going to go well? Anyone?

I hope I’m wrong, but I’m betting we’ll be doing this same song and dance number a year from now.
