This should have been expected. What Im really worried about is the health of McQuaid and Boychuk.

McQuaid is out game 1, Boychuk is day to day. Losing those two and Horton is a ton of toughness out of the lineup. Two solid D guys and a top line scorer.

The Flyer hit wasn’t dirty. He was probably back to early from the Rome hit (that really dirty one in the Finals). As to first Savard, it was really first Bergeron. He really lost a couple years of his career on the dirty Randy Jones hit.

The Bruins are fine with Peverley on the Krejci/Lucic line. It really impacts the 3rd line. I still get nervous when I think they rely so much Kelly-Pouliott-Rolston. They have been playing well together. I just can’t figure out how.

As much as it will be tough to watch the playoffs without Horton on the ice, I’d much rather see him get better and come back next year strong and healthy. His three game winning playoff goals (2 game sevens) will be missed but I think this team is ready to win one for Horty!
