Pathetic. He was part of the reason that it was tough and not good in Montreal. he showed up twice, I think. His best game this year was against Montreal, which makes sense, because he was out to play an “I told you” game. Big statement. He has the staying power in the NHL of an already-struck match head. At least we can say “Congratulations on being awesome in junior, Benoit Pouliot.” That’s about it, though.

I’ve read Pouliot’s comment and frankly don’t see anything there of substance.Saying that it “was tough” and “not good” means,pretty well nothing at all.Having watched virtually all of the Habs games for the last several years I always thought that one of their problems was that they had a few too many guys like Pouliot who disappeared regularly just like he also did in Minnesota.Thirty eight points for a forward who plays regularly and isn’t a shut down guy sucks big time

I have nothing against him at all. It wasn’t his fault he failed (in my eyes)

A. should have never been drafted 4th overall but our previous GM was a complete idiot
B. Rushed into a system he was going to fail in.
C. Fletcher had a great trade with him for Latendresse.

Agreed. I guess I dont mind as much because A) Im from Boston and B) He didnt fizzle as a first round pick for my team. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, my friend.

as I agree with your post.. All I am saying is that he should focus on just that, not what has been going on in Montreal. No need to bash a previous team when your entering the playoffs, even thou he seemed very honest about it. Just stay quiet and do your job, be a pro / act like one.

If he plays the way he did this season, he will be a servicable forward for years to come. Cant argue with 30 points after his career was in the dumps.

I dunno if I’d call that “kicking the team while they are down”. It seems like a pretty honest assessment from someone who played there for awhile. He even says it’s good for them so they can get back on track. As a Bruins fan I hate the Habs as a rival, but the NHL is a better place with a competitive team from there. They will rebound…hockey is life up there.
