It would be interesting to see him get 60. He was on a killer pace last year, it’s a shame he didn’t get the Rocket trophy and slowed after the All-Star break. He’s has been raised in the NHL by one of the most consistent players in the game, St. Louis. So it’s no surprise that he’s developed so quickly. I cannot wait to see how far he can take his leadership skills and hopefully become the captain and face of the franchise after Vinny and Marty are retired. He still has a long career ahead of him.

i understand because of your screen name and your loyalties…but stamkos is well behind malkin and even lundquist for the mvp. i would even put giroux ahead of him.

He’s got a case for it, but it’s hard to pick a league MVP who goes golfing in round 1. Hardly his fault, of course, but bottom line is that with Tampa missing the playoffs that hurts his cause. At this point I’d have to say it’s going to be Malkin, though I’d personally vote for Mike Smith.
