Watch Caps prospect Kuznetsov get kicked during a KHL game

Apr 4, 2012, 11:17 AM EDT

Courtesy NHL.com correspondent Slava Malamud, here’s another bit of video madness from the KHL:

The players in question are Traktor Chelyabinsk’s Evgeny Kuznetsov (Washington’s first-round pick at the 2010 draft) and Avangard Omsk’s Anton Belov (who kicks people, apparently.)

The two teams are currently locked in a heated conference final of the Gagarin Cup playoffs.

This isn’t the first time Belov’s been captured in YouTube lore. Earlier this season, he did this:

No word yet if Belov will face supplemental discipline for the kick.

    Punk.

Wow… yeah. No idea what rules the KHL has different from the NHL, but that’s probably not one of them. Kicking should be a suspension, period. This made Jeff Skinner’s kick a few weeks ago look pretty tame.

Wussicfication of the KHL. Pour some Vodka on the cut and it will be alright.

Attacking someone with his skate? Glass shattering slap shot? How long before this guy is hamming it up on the PGA tour?

The music made the first video. “Hey fun boys! Get a room!”

the nhl should use this as a promotional tool for young players deciding what to do with their professional careers….
