I'm not disagreeing that it was completely uncalled for fans to jeer Luongo - those idiots should have been noticing the miserable defensive support he had. However, Luongo has NOT had a great season. He had a horrendous start that transitioned into excellent play, slid again, come back again and then was punctuated with some poor performances. His numbers have are not bad, but only because the extremes are averaging out. Schneider has been rock solid for all of those low points, even when the team in front of him seems to be sabotaging him.

The "fans" that were cheering last night when Our #1 was pulled are complete idiots that know nothing about hockey, as pointed out by Bob Mackenzie on the tsn telecast at intermission. Lou has had an awesome season and this is the thanks he gets from so called "fans". One goal can be put on Lous broad shoulders the rest were complete breakdowns that would've went in unless the net was turned around. CS is a great goalie but also has the easiest job in sports. Absoloutely ZERO pressure, you wanna know what happens when a professional plays with ZERO pressure, see edmonton and toronto during first 20 games every year. I take nothing away from CS but lets be honest, it doesn't matter if he wins or loses, nobody questions him. Lou on the other hand has to answer to every single goal that goes in whether its his fault or not. how do we know how CS would handle that kind of bulls**t it's enough to make a sane man go crazy. I have been a canucks fan for 30 years and now can finally see why the rest of the country makes fun of canucks fans. Those are not canuck fans, they are the "bandwagon" fans everyone talks about and I hate the fact that I as a true canuck fan get grouped with these absoloute imbecils. Bobby Lou you are our guy and when we win a cup it will be on your back, and even then these a holes will boo you. Heres to Bobby Lou, the strongest (mentally) to have ever played in this great city.To the fans that cheered when he got pulled, do the real fans a favor and stay home. We don't want you.

Luongo has had an incredible year in large part to the success of Schneider ... obviously. They have a proven formula of 4 on 1 off giving Luongo the rest and push he clearly needs.

One team has won the Stanley Cup on the West Coast, and they did it with two goaltenders. Even though it flies in the face of traditional logic, it absolutely makes sense to have Schneider play at least a semi regular start in the playoff ... and if Lou (and more importantly the team around him) are off, of course pop him in when needed.

That being said though, this city's gotta get off the notion that one or two bad game makes Luongo a crap goaltender, realize that when Forwards miss assignment and D allow shooters to angle in for perfect shots (Round 1 against the Hawks last year anyone?) the goaltender is going to look like sh*t and get pulled. It happens on every team with every goaltender.
