I’m not arguing against you, but I know the Caps and their fans felt the same way about Montreal. With that being said, yes, NYR will more than likely win their opening series.

Not that bold of a statement. For one, they are in the playoffs as of now so it isnt like they have to mount some insane comeback. they are playing a florida team who is pretty much awful right now and they will be playing a rangers team who will be sitting most of their players. That won’t be such a tough feat. It’ll be backup goalies and minor leaguers.
It’s painful that the panthers will be a 3 seed and whoever is 6 (devils) will get to play them. Joe Micheletti was saying last night during the rangers vs flyers game that the devils are only 3 behind the flyers and can catch them. why on earth would the devils want to catch the flyers and play the pens in the first round over pitt? Its a great rivalry, but if i were the flyers id tank the last two and hope the devils win their last two.
Aside from the 3vs6, the other match ups will be good. Laich isnt so far fetched. vs a bad fla team and playing a rangers team that will be resting.

“over the course of 82 games your team identity is gonna be revealed”. yes, yes it is. so i guess we have 2 more games to find out because there still isnt any sort of identity for the caps right now… unless you call being terribly inconsisent an identity.
