I realize Kassian was traded not cut. I meant that Buffalo cut ties with a player that they thought would do more than he did. Hodgson was not brought up, he was already in the league. And they needed a center. Have you seen Kassian's line score in Vancouver since the trade? He averages about 8-12 minutes and since they played Buffalo when he scored he hasn't scored since. Which is why they traded him or cut him loose from the roster or however you want to put it. As far as the fans who have backed off on the firing of Reiger talk,I still think they need to make changes. Buffalo needs a GM who can build a playoff team and let him hire the coach he wants. We had Mike Keenan and John Tortorella in our system but they never thought them worthy of the job in Buffalo.
So they left and won the Cup elsewhere. Torts might win another one this year

It's funny to see all you " fans " , who were crying for firing Regier , last month . What happened ? What the Sabres should have done , and they still need to do , is fire Ruff . 14 years in one place is 6 years too long . And , his teams have only make the playoff 6 times , while only going farther than the first round 3 . I don't expect to see them in the playoffs this year either . Don't and try to blame " injuries " either , every team in this league have to deal with injuries , but the good teams , play through them . That's from coaching , something that the Sabres lack .
