There’s no way the Rangers will be eliminated after the first round they’re too good of a team. As for philthy and the Pens, see ya later flyers they don’t stand a chance.

If I was a rangers fan I’d be much more worried about the first round than who they might play if they win that round.

In fact I think both the rangers and devils lose in the first round. As far as Philly vs Pitt who knows. Two most talented teams in the east both have great goal tending and they always have great playoff series. I’d like to think flyers in 6 but it could go either way and will probably hurt the winner going into the next round

You Philly folks aren’t real slick, are you? Provided that NYR, Bos, and NJ win, the scenario you assume, the winner of the 4-5 match-up would play Boston regardless of whether the 4 or 5 seed won. Because either the 4 or 5 seed disappears after round one, the difference between a 4 or 5 seed never impacts who you will play in later rounds. For just the 4/5 seeds, the only significance of one over the other is starting at home.

Flyers are better away from home…home ice doesn’t matter for any team in the first round in my own opinion

Of course, there’s a major reason to be 5th rather than 4th: NJ should beat the 3rd seed (Florida or Washington), meaning if Boston and NY win their series, the 5th seed plays Boston rather than NY. I take he chance playing Boston than playing the Rangers (a team that has owned the Flyers this year).
