could christianity get any gayer???? yeah, because praying for something has proven time and time again that if you do it hard enough you’ll get whatever you desire! why not just click your heels three times, it’s just as effective.

Prayer? Hmmm. A 2005 scientific study by the religious Templeton group showed it doesn’t help heal the sick. Regardless, if their god is almighty and all-knowing, he already knows Sedin needs his aid, so why pray? And if he really does have that purported master plan, he’s already decided whether to let Sedin heal in time for the playoffs, so why pray? The only thing believers accomplish by praying is to make themselves feel they’ve done something useful. Sigh.

Pat Robertson must be loving it though. Next week he’ll have a show about this as a shining example, and be ranting at the Bruins, Penguins, and Flyers for not doing this for their concussed superstars. “They deserve it!”
