I know a plethora of non-hockey fans, and when they see me watching an NHL game, they always say "They should do the flying V". Hey, at least its better than, "SHOOT THE PUCK", every five seconds.

I hope you are referring to Rick DiPetro as injury prone, not Nabokov. It doesn't matter if Sutter cares about Jonathan Quick, facts are facts, his contract expires at the end of NEXT season, and he seems to like hollywood. My bet is, he stays in LA for 3 more years. Brodeur is staying in New Jersey, and I think, the Devils will call up Keith Kinkaid from their Albany AHL team, who are also known as the Devils.

I hate the whole, players have to talk to the media, if its their choice its their choice, and the league should just butt out and let Philadelphia work. I always feel for Jose Thedore, that tragedy he had, and I always root for him. I hope he does well, and good for him and the Panthers for most likely making the postseason. Erik Cole might be right, the Bulldogs(AHL) is doing okay and they'll draft well. Boo-hoo for Vokoun, it doesn't matter, because he'll get to star, because Hotlby and Neuvirth aren't doing so hot.

Just to set the record straight....The Contract signing Rick DiPietro was NOT Garth Snow's idea. It was Charles Wang's. He came up with it a year before Snow became GM but deferred it a year at Bettman's request (made in hopes that Wang would come to his senses). Unfortunately for Snow, one of his first acts as GM was to announce the disastrous deal.

I don't know whether Snow could have come up with a better option than Grahame, but signing another goalie makes sense under the circumstances. The Isles' AHL affiliate the Bridgeport Sound Tigers are a contender but one of their two regular goalies Anders Nilsson is out with an injury. Calling up the other goalie Kevin Poulin would cripple the Sound Tigers' playoff run. Also, it makes perfect sense to shut down Nabokov for the season and save him for next year.

Barring injury to Al Montoya, Grahame is only likely to play in one game. Starting tonight, the Isles have three games in four days including Saturday and Sunday. Grahame might well start the Sunday game against Ottawa. It is April Fools Day, so have fun with that!
