Remind your friends we’re all afforded the same opportunities! Instead of whinning for the friend you feel so badly for, help him. This ” feel sorry for me” attitude is killing the American dream! It’s the type A personality and money in DC that separates itself for a welfare city like Baltimore. This was a great play by Ovechkin, but I’m not really sure why its so new worthy.

Has Ovechkin been the best defensive player in his career? Of course not… but thats not what hes paid to do. Not to mention hes a winger, not a center, and as such has less defensive responsability… which is where the comparisons to Crosby and Yzerman always fall apart. I’ve heard so many times that “Well Yzerman didn’t start helping the Wings win cups till he began playing better two way hockey and Ovechkin can learn from that”, which always drives me crazy since Yzerman was a center and playign two way hockey is a large part of his position.

Nats will make the playoffs this year or next, RG3 is on his way to DC and the Caps even after having a bad year are still in the playoffs. Not to mention as a kid I went to 2 NFC title games and a superbowl courtesy of my DC sports team……

The real story here is the Caps FINALLY realized Holtby should be in net. After 10-2 last year I thought they’d keep him on but of course they ruined that. Now their hand was forced and hopefully they don’t make the same mistake twice. Keep this guy up, and stick with him. After the season, GET A DEFENSEMAN!
