Take a look at the turn of the millennium Stanley Cup Final match ups:

1999 - Belfour v Hasek
2000 - Brodeur v Belfour
2001 - Roy v Brodeur

Pretty sick! And around these years, maybe a year or two earlier, Curtis Joseph was taking the 8th seeded Oilers past 1 seeded teams almost single handedly!

Epic time for goaltending in the NHL

I grew up a big Blackhawks fan, and when I was a kid, I wanted to be Ed Belfour so bad. I'm a goalie, and when I was a kid, I did everything like Eddie...from cleaning the crease to hacking forwards in the ankles for being in the crease. As we grow older, we stop prying these guys on a pedestal and realize that they're just regular guys...but in my mind, the kid in me won't let me forget that Ed Belfour is the greatest goalie to ever play the game...even if you don't agree.
