We're not paying Ovechkin to win the Selke, we're paying him to score goals. Which he's been doing lately, but the Goon behind the bench can't figure out that "Huh, Maybe if I have Ovechkin out on the ice more, it will lead to more scoring chances for him!"

Yeah i can't figure that one out. Ovechkin is finally heating up and scoring goals like his old self... yet hes getting less ice time for it. Sure he was on the ice for two goals against last night, including the game winner, but they really weren't his fault and certainly no reason to limit his ice time. If the Caps are going to make the playoffs, its going to be by riding Ovechkins currently hot hand... and he can't score goals from the bench.

The Caps also aren't going to win if they keep trying to sit on one and two goal leads, which they were clearly doing in the third period last night and the game a couple nights ago when Ovechkin scored in the first minute.

I think its safe to say, barring the Caps somehow winning the Cup, Hunter (and quite possibly McPhee) will be gone next year. Hes just making so many poor coaching decisions.
