As I mentioned to danp – Their shootout record using those players is 3W and 9L – he tried something different and he was wrong. Had he used the same players and lost yet again people would have been on him for doing that.

Quite frankly maybe it should be the other way around, meaning the can kicked the crap out of Sutter. Really do any of the Sutter brothers have a reputable coaching resume to write home about for the time any of them have held a head coaching position in the NHL? Not to my way of thinking and furthermore none of them would be at the top of my list as a coahcing candidate for my team if I owned one. Quality players yes, head coaches however are a different kettle of fish and in my opinion none of the Sutters have the fins for this type of job at this particular level.

Iginla, Jokinen, Tanguay, Giordano, all would’ve been smarter choices. Jesus, Sutter’s an idiot. He threw that game with that insane selection.

I’m not a big Flames fan. But why wasn’t Jerome Iginla used in the shootout? He’s far and away their best player. You mine as well go down with your best.
