Taylor Hall shaken up after collision with Cory Sarich

Mar 16, 2012, 11:08 PM EDT

Edmonton Oilers forward Taylor Hall likes to throw his body around and use his speed as much as just about any talented young forward in the NHL, but it comes with drawbacks. Sometimes his injuries just seem to be a matter of bad luck, though.

Take tonight’s game against the Calgary Flames, for example. Hall needed help off the ice after he lost his balance and then took a thunderous hit from Cory Sarich:

Considering Edmonton’s basement placement and the violent look of that collision, it wouldn’t be surprising if Hall finishes another season on the injured list. No word on the severity of the injury just yet, though.

He’s finding some interesting ways to get hurt. Poor guy seems to have some bad luck.

This is terrible to see. Hall is such a great, young player. But, this is not Sarich’s fault. Hall needs to either stop before the puck gets to him or take a quick shoulder check and see who, if anyone, is at the point.

Again, tough to watch, never want to see this happen.

I see a lot of Pavel Bure in this kid. Puts his body in terrible situations, wouldn’t be surprised to see his career end in the same way as Pav’s. Shame, as he is a hell of a player.

It’s simple, this kid needs to learn how to keep his head up or he will be the Y2K version of The Big E. If Lowe wasn’t such a moron he would’ve drafted Seguin anyways.
