Awesome — Ovechkin picked Norfolk State to beat Missouri

Mar 16, 2012, 6:55 PM EDT

In one of the great upsets in NCAA men’s basketball tournament history, tiny Norfolk State knocked off Missouri, 86-84, today in Omaha – just the fifth time a No. 15 seed has beaten a No. 2 in the opening round.

And Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin predicted it would happen.

Ovechkin has the Spartans advancing all the way to the Elite 8 in his bracket.

He did, however, lose one of his Final Four teams today, as Alabama lost to Creighton, 58-57.

You know, I even laughed with a co-worker when that bracket showed up in the Washington Post that it would be hilarious if his bracket ended up being spot-on accurate after we all laughed at it. Not happening, of course, but that he called this one puts him ahead of most of America, I’ll bet. (I sure didn’t see it coming!).

You should take life more seriously.

Ovie knows a thing or two about losing to vastly inferior opponents.

The sooner this parasite is “re-located” east of the Urals, the better for all. This leech has done positively “nothing” for the Capitals organization since day one, except to fatten his own bank account. As an ardent supporter of the LA Kings and “that” which is good, I say trade this freak as soon as possible !

ps: here’s another example of what Russian hockey is supposed to all about …

      Nothing for the Caps organization?

Before OV came to town, every night was “Dress-Like-a-Seat Night” at Verizon Center. I could carry on a conversation with a person sitting two sections away.

The dude has not only made hockey relevant in the city, he’s had an enormous impact on the growth of the game in metro area. Now every game, even Tuesday nights against the Kings, are sellouts.

But….I’m sure you’ll go on and defend Doughty (nice -1 rating, Drew) after he sat out complaining so he could get his $7MM contract, which is going to be a major factor in why your beloved Kings will be playing golf in April, after they miss the playoffs by 2 points.

“even Tuesday nights against the Kings, are sellouts” … so shall I say “fore” ?

friend … I’ll have you know that those are indeed fighting words … nonetheless, we LA Kings are currently” engaged” at the moment and so I’ll keep it short .. spin it anyway you like, Ovechkin is overated “junk” who’s done nothing but fatten his own personal bank, all the while pulling the wool over the eyes over the decent, values-driven, tax paying, God fearing folk in Washington. I say trade this freak “asap” ! … just don’t send him out west !
