i agree. also, its like he saw how well the team was doing all the hard work the players, coaching staff and management did, with a real shot at making it to the final and said “oh, NOW i’d like to play for you guys”. don’t ya think even a little bit it’ll rub some of the guys on that team the wrong way????

I don’t want the team that was originally screwed by this selfish, angry lil b**ch to be screwed again, and it’s not like I have another solution … but the whole thing does stink.

(and I dont trust the KHL for a second regardless of what they’ve “agreed upon” so I aint buying that this wont ever happen again)

I see that now. My cap hit idea isnt fair. I am honestly more fired up by the fact he loses his final year on the rookie contract. Was he even at Preds camp this summer? He should be forced to be part of the team in some form, from the start of the season in order to lose that final rookie year. He shouldnt be allowed to play pro in Russia for a full season, then play 10 games for Nashville and give up his final rookie year. So it’s good to know it wont happen again but it also sucks to know that Radulov is the real winner here. Sure Nashville is now happy, but only after being pissed off at the kid for the past 3 years.

Nope. Can’t happen ever again. 5 days after Radulov signed, the NHL and KHL agreed to honor each other’s contracts. Thus, the KHL will no longer sign players under NHL contract.

The league should atleast make his cap hit the same as the team average. Get ready for 2013, cause if league dosn’t fix this BS, Radulov just proved to every Russian that screwing over your NHL team, only to make money in Russia does work. Don’t enter the draft unless you’re ready to commit 3 years to a city you might not love.

If this happens it’s going to happen a lot more from here out. I would gladly make $5,000,000 that isn’t taxed as hard as opposed to $850,000, then come back for the playoffs. Start an ugly trend, this will.
