I am not a Penguin hater. I just get tired when everyone thinks they are a lock for the Cup with Crosby back. When they failed to repeat as champs Crosby was healthy all year. Now he’s dinged up for the last 2 years and everyone thinks he will be the same player. I’m not so sure. The league will go on when he’s done whether it’s sooner or later.
And I bet I know more about the Penguins history than all the people who became fans when they got Crosby. Remember Michel Briere? Could have been the greatest Penguin of all time.

It’s very clear that you are an ardent Penguins hater, but put down your bottle of haterade for a moment and look at the facts: this is the hottest team in the NHL right now, which will have two players returning that not only will provide depth but also a TON of talent to the line-up. Whether they can both stay healthy is yet to be determined (I, the eternal optimist, think that they will be able to keep it together) but if they can stay healthy, you can’t say that they aren’t one of the top 3 teams in the NHL if not the outright favorite.

The big question mark for me is if Crosby manages to actually stick out the rest of the season and the playoffs. I mean, if you can only play so many games during the regular season without getting re-injured, how’s playoff hockey going to be any better? I think we can all agree that things get significantly more physical come time to battle for Lord Stanley.
