Gomex had his back tunred and he was looking in the direction of the puck when he got hit. He didn’t have posession of the puck. So is Myers just finishing his hit from when Gomex dishes the puck to his right?

Myers seemed to have enough time to change his trajectory. Similar in a way to the malkin hit, but this seemed a bit more avoidable.
