Watch Zdeno Chara put Marcus Johansson through the glass

Mar 10, 2012, 4:55 PM EDT

If you didn’t already know that Zdeno Chara is a physical beast on the ice, he proved it once again today.

During the first period of the Bruins’ 4-3 loss to the Capitals, Chara laid a huge hit on Caps forward Marcus Johansson. The hit into the boards turned out to be forceful enough to shatter the glass as if it happened in a video game. Fear not, no one was hurt on the play or in the stands, so sit back and enjoy the sight of plexiglass turning into dust.

Regehr’s hit on Ovi was much better.

Another BS headline. Scraping the bottom of the barrel once again.

Joe you do realize that he didn’t actually go through the boards right? it was the glass on the pane along the penalty box that broke…not the one along the ice…leave it to PHT to be quality journalists…

jeez, commenters, you could at least try and mask your pathetic outbursts of roster envy

And again the Bruins lose. They are 8-12 since the Presidential visit, and this time they fall at home to a clearly inferior team. There is something wrong in that locker room.

If it’s me, I get Turco engaged and play him until he cries uncle. Either Thomas isn’t right or the team isn’t skating in front of him. Either way, its time to give Tim a break between the pipes. And I’m thinking three consecutive games.

absolutely, at the very least give him sun and tues. off and have him go thurs. thomas doesn’t look right and niether does our defense. need to start stringing together consistency.
