Sidney Crosby will not play vs. Bruins

The hopes of seeing Sidney Crosby return to action tomorrow afternoon against the Bruins are dashed.

After Crosby was cleared for contact in practice and hopes building up to the weekend that he might suit up for the first time in months, Seth Rorabaugh of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that Crosby will not play tomorrow. The Penguins do report, however, that Crosby hasn’t had any symptoms or setbacks. Good news in small doses is nice, too.

Crosby’s next chance to play comes on Thursday night in New York against the Rangers. With a few more days to work out and get better prepared to play, Pittsburgh hopes that Crosby could be ready to go by then. Expect the lead up to each Penguins game to be like this until Crosby hits the ice in a game again.

For all the haters on here who will complain about too many Crosby articles remember you do have the option to not read the article. For the people who say he’s scared of the bruins, your right it probably has nothing to do with the lack of practices he’s been able to have since being cleared from contact due to the pens busy schedule. Haters can hate though.

gives him 4 more days to practice and rest before ny on thursday. makes perfect sense to me.

He’s definitely not ready for the bruins. Remember krejci gave him another concussion or was it the collision with Kunitz?

given how Boston is playing the capitls right now it appears we don’t need him.

I wonder if his game will purposely change when he does come back? Will he become a perimeter player like Messier did? Not because of fading skills, but purposely to prolong his career? With the way Malkin and Staal are playing, they can afford to keep Crosby on the fringes. Or just use him for special teams.

If Cynthia Crosby plays against Bruins you know they are gonna check him hard?

Eventually she is going to have to face a check?

You are about as smart as you are creative, you try to insult Crosby by referring to him as a woman yet you use the pronoun him once and then her. Learn English then grow up and finally little child.

So sick of hearing about this guy… Play or retire. Please

I think she (Cynthia Crosby) is scared of getting wrecked against Boston!

Hopefully he’s back soon. Flyers-Penguins aren’t the same without 87.

It’s really funny reading the comments on Sid articles because it’s the same hater trolls who comment. Yet the guys posting are saber and shark fans. As if either of those franchises have a history of winning and have given their fans a reason to be completely ignorant. Come back to the comment boards when you win a cup..or 3. Or when Thornton, marleau, Vanek and miller do anything other then be overpaid
