…and if you can’t see that the lockout was a defacto strike by the executives and professions serving the NHL in order to grow the business of their trades within the league, then you haven’t been paying attention.

I think you keep it out and look towards changing the equipment and allow hooking to a degree in the neutral zone before bringing the red line back.

Stop messing with the game. It is screwed up enough as it is. Fix the next CBA instead. Get the PA to agree to a lifetime ban provision for non rehabilatable repeat offenders. Just watch the injuries from collisions go down with that sword hanging over their heads.

They should also negotiate a comprehensive player safety education and certifiction program that is done annually before start of each training camp.

Simplify the cap so you can replace the “capologists” ,beancounter and lawyers whose jobs were created because of the current CBA with travelling safety officials.

Fix the business, not the game.
