The pressure’s been on for New York Rangers forward Brandon Dubinsky to turn his season around, but perhaps he took the wrong course to make a big impact tonight. Dubinsky hurt his hand in tonight’s game against the New Jersey Devils and won’t return, according to Steve Zipay.

ESPN’s Katie Strang points out that Dubinsky hasn’t been in action since he dropped the gloves with Ryan Carter. It’s pretty easy to put two and two together on that one, wouldn’t you say?

Must have hurt his hand holding onto Carter’s jersey for dear life.
Carter should be the one with the hand injury with the amount of times he slammed his fist into that bowl cut.

Yeah, petty one-sided for sure, but gotta love the mutual decision to set the helmets aside. The irony is that most hand injuries are from striking the helmet. Go figure.
