it was interesting last night, how Aquilini Investments successfully managed to get the Canuckle sheep to focus their attention entirely on Kassian and Pillsman, while no mention was made of the so-called "big guns" and their complete and utter non-performance ?

LMAO at Blomfeld.who should probably wait until a game is completely over before talking smack.

Kassian finished with 1G/1A and a bunch of hits in a losing effort.

That's exactly two points more than Hodgson, but also a bucket-load of actual impact on the game no matter what line he played on.

Cody's gonna be a good center in this league. But he's a peripheral player most of the time. Sometimes he scores, otherwise, you would barely know he's there.compared to Kassian. Currently, I'm not sure you can credit Hodgson with doing much besides distracting opponents away from his linemates in the last three games.

Meanwhile, you always know when Kassian is on the ice and while he may never make the same offensive impact, his defensive skills have already proven better than Hodgson's.

Good trade so far. Even better when the Canucks get into the playoffs.

Hodgson will probably be great for improving the Sabres regular season record.

Live update from Bloomberg Sports: SABRES 3, CANUCKS 1 ... @ 0840 pst

Sorry friend, be we LA Kings fans don't insult people ... instead, we prefer to retort with fact. The bottom line to all of this Hodgson business is really quite simple. Your giggling, fur-trapping, coach "Elaine" had it in for the young man from day one ... no two ways about it. And as callous and childish as that may sound, there was never anything more to it than that. Well now young Cody will have his vengeance and it will come at the expense of those who sought to do him wrong.

ps: just got in here and I see that Luongo isn't playing ? ... I thought he was supposed to start tonight ? ... would you mind bringing me up to speed here and let me know what happened to the overpaid Michelin Man ? .... thanks :)

Exactly. They gave up a valuable asset, but they were also dealing from a position of wealth. They could afford to give up something that most teams couldnt, to get an element that not only wasnt in their lineup ... it wasnt in their system at all.

Good call all round, it looks like it will be a trade that will benefit both teams ... and ... that "blomfeld" clown is right idiot sometimes.

Nicely done changing the headline. Thanks for the article on this. I find it interesting as a Canucks fan and fan of Cody hodgson. I'm thinking the truth will come out in the next week or so after he plays in Vancouver tonight, so he's saved of any bad reaction by the crowd. The Canucks did know what they had, a soft but talented 3rd line centre who wanted to be traded... Don't underestimate what Kassian can become. It's not easy to find a talented power forward and the Canucks are one of the deepest teams at centre.

Good for Cody- just shows that Vancouver didn't know what they had. With improved ice time in a true scorer's role, he should flourish.

This article assumes that Cody did not ask for a trade. Poor journalism. Cody had a stock answer for that question which makes me believe he or his agent did in fact ask for a trade. In my opinion he cares more about himself and potential earnings than he did about winning a cup. The organization did to mistreat him, they were doing what was best for the team as he recovered from injury and could not beat out Kesler or Sedin as a top 2 centre. He needed to be traded. He'll do well in buffalo and the Canucks will be just fine with Pahlsson and Kassian.

THE CANUCKS SPEAK WITH FORKED TONGUE !

There's absolutely no question about the fact that this fine young man was abused by the Canucks organization from the very start ... simply no two ways about it. In fact, listening to the Canucks give "their" side of the story, is almost like listening the likes of Berlin Betty or Tokyo Rose ! ... complete and utter nonsense. At any rate, God sure does act in mysterious ways at times, eh ? ... but he "always" makes things right in the end. So isn't it ironic that tonight, this fine young man will be afforded the opportunity to really "give it" to the mafia-owned Canucks and the blood-thirsty hordes who support them !
