Randy Carlyle gives Toronto media a frosty introduction

Randy Carlyle, Nick Bonino, Nicolas Deschamps

FILE - In this Sept. 23, 2011 file photo, Anaheim Ducks head coach Randy Carlyle put his head down during the third period of an NHL preseason hockey game against the San Jose Sharks, in San Jose, Calif. Ducks centers’ Nicolas Deschamps, left, and Nick Bonino, right, are in the foreground. Fed up with the Ducks’ inexplicably slow start, the club fired the Stanley Cup-winning coach and his staff late Wednesday night, Nov. 30, 2011. Anaheim swiftly replaced Carlyle with former Washington coach Bruce Boudreau, who was dismissed by the Capitals just two days earlier. (AP Photo/Paul Sakuma, File)

Here’s the understatement of the night: the Toronto media is just a bit more in-depth than anything Randy Carlyle experienced in Anaheim (aside from the Stanley Cup finals). Carlyle didn’t exactly make a great first impression tonight, as he apparently brushed off three media members upon arriving in the hockey hotbed.

David Feschuk and Mike Brophy were the other two guys who received the silent treatment, as Feschuk testified.

Yup, this should be awfully entertaining.
