Yeah. I watched some of that game on fast forward. In a battle for top spot in the best hockey league in the world, that's kinda damning. Not good enough.

I like competitive and physical hockey, but I like skilled hockey too. When the best teams from the best league meet, we should be seeing both.

Not ragging on St Louis - they were playing a tough road game on a back-to-back, and they were playing to win. I just think the league needs to re-commit to limiting interference.

Good lord what an awful game to watch. Hitchcock and the other "dead puck era" throwback coaches and GM's are taking the NHL back in time and are being enabled by shoddy officiating.

Vancouver and Boston remain two of the likeliest candidates to make the Finals, although in light of Boston's recent slide in offensive performance and Tim Thomas' apparent loss of his aura of invincibility, the Rangers appear like they could represent perhaps a likelier candidate at this point. Detroit and St. Louis seem to complete the picture for me. Nashville's not quite believeable for me, though they're damn close, and likewise with Pittsburgh. Flyers fans, get a real goalie and you'll be favourites overnight, but until that happens... long shot.
