The Bruins were essentially a .500 team from March 1 through the end of last season as well. Turned out alright for them then. I think it’s actually a good thing that they had the month they had. Get it out of the system and have the time to experiment with some new lines (a la last night) to get tuned up for the post-season. They got some new blood in at the trade deadline that I think will pay off in terms of team defense (upgrade from Corvo to Zanon), and experience (in Rolston). Plus, as long as Peverley and Horton get back on track, I’m sure they’ll be just fine come Playoffs time.

TOO LITTLE, TOO LATE …

As an ardent LA KIngs fan, I have to say that this amounts to positively nothing. The Bruins have essentially been a “500″ team since they were “violated” at home by the Sisters back on January 7th. I respect the Bruins for what they did last June, I really do. But I’m now convinced that that will become nothing but a fond memory for them. It’s a shame, but as the adage says, time indeed waits for no one …
