Cody is an incredible kid who could go a long way in this league. I really hope he doesn’t have a bunch of busy bodies meddling in his career and giving him terrible guidance. He’s a class act and really deserves to be successful.

Also, holy hell is he fun to watch.

Ya I agree, I think it’s pretty clear that there’s at least a little fire here. Whether its tension between Cody’s camp, or just his family, or the fact that there’s no room for him down the middle and the Canucks don’t think he can play the wing … its pretty obvious that Cody’s not pulling the strings.

There’s issues here but its not like Buffalo’s getting a head case or an ego trip at all, it’s just one of those things that didn’t work out.

Over the last 3 years or so there’s been too many stories about alleged tensions between Winter and the nucks organization. This is really only the latest. Just a couple months ago there was Gallagher suggesting that Winter was talking to the nucks about Cody’s icetime. There’s never any evidence of course.

It really could all just be speculation by the Vancouver media. You know – smoke but no fire. This is the Vancouver hockey media – I wouldn’t put it past them.

Who knows?

Anyways, my impression is that Cody is an innocent bystander here – just trying to play some hockey.

Good luck in Buffalo kid – you won’t need it though, you’re a great player with or without my blessings.
