he’s a different goalie now, the rangers are now a different team, they are confident and know they can beat anyone. I think they will come out on top, but thats just my opinion

yeah but I think when it comes to playoff if you can rely on your goalies alone (most of his shutouts are between 20-25 saves) his defencemen are now much stronger.

Friends … I’ve seriously had a “vision” here and this is the headline which I see all over the press on June 12th of this year ! … our beloved LA Kings finally win the Stanley Cup ! … and Coach Sutter is given the keys to the City of Angels ! Now I realize that to many, this may sound a bit far-fetched and perhaps even comical ? But I’ll level with you people … this “is” what I see and I am usually right about these things. I’m not a medicine man, a psychic, or anything like that. Rather, I’m just a decent, hard-working, values-driven, tax-paying Canadian man who loves the LA Kings and possesses an innate ability to sense “that which will happen” … so please don’t get angry at me if my vision becomes reality.

*** 5 very excellent reasons to put $100.00 on the LA KIngs ***

1) best 1-2 goal-tending tandem in the league !

2) most “potentially” explosive offense in the league !

3) most “potentially” explosive blue-line in the league !

4) best coached team in the league, under the guidance of Comrade Sutter !

5) by far the “coolest” looking uniforms in the league ! … not to mention our chicks !

do the right thing friend and “denounce” whichever team it is that you currently support ! … you may have noticed that we Kings are now on a charge (eg: tonight we liquidated Minnesota 4-0) and so we could sure use your help ! … so pick up a musket and “fall in” right now with the rest of us … we’re headed for victory !

There’s a pretty good chance the Rags will face the Caps in the first round…

Granted the availability of Backstrom is a huge question mark, but Ludqvist’s numbers against the Caps in the Rangers’ last two postseasons have been pretty marginal.

I’m kinda surprised there is no love for Los Angeles. I know they are last in the NHL in scoring. But are they really that bad? I actually see a lot of similarities in Boston and LA. Great goal tending. Good defense. Gritty. Likes to hit. And just enough scoring to win. And say what you will about Darryl Sutter. He has playoff success. At 35-1 odds, I’m gonna throw down $100. I just hope Bodog is still in existence come June!

I’m not actually a Blues fan, but I do like the way they play and appreciate how they built the team. Plus, Hitchcock knows his sh*t, with two finals appearances and one ring, and also made it to conference finals another two times.

They’ve lost a ton of players to injury over the season but kept getting better. They seem to be getting healthy now. I’d say if you’re talking dark-horse candidate, they got a good chance.

But as far as the favorites go, Detroit is still Detroit.
