It's one thing if it's one game, or maybe a couple at the end of a road trip, that the effort isn't there or maybe even just the result isn't. It's been a little more than that, and in some ways it's a leveling out compared to how good the Bruins were in November/December, but they should come back as they clearly aren't that bad.

They do seem overly affected and perhaps distracted in their recent play, so once they can address that and get back to their style of play (hopefully without any suspension-worthy stuff to add to the distractions) they'll be back to being competitive. Their schedule is tougher in the second half, so don't expect them to charge back to the top of the league, but they should be winning games.

Yeah, that game wasn't a problem--but Krejci has been one for at least a month. He's playing like he doesn't give a damn. Makes me wonder if the contract has made him lazy. It's too bad they're out Horty and Peverley, because Julien would probably scratch Krejci to send a message. I hope he does this anyway.

There's no shame in losing that game to the Wild. Like the article said, Backstrom was just a monster during that game- I'm not sure any team could have put a goal past him when he's playing like that. It wasn't just the number of shots- some of them were very good chances, like the chance Lucic had from the side of the net.

Glad the B's are looking at ways to improve, but there's not many lessons to take away from a game like that other than 'our guy needs to match him save for save', and to hope for luck next time.
