Gaustad blows. He's overpaid for a below average third liner. He is 6'5" and 225 but doesn't even come close to playing physical like a guy his size should. He used to be a tough guy, key word is used. Trade him and get something and don't resign him

I'm embarrassed that my commenting counterpart uses "buffalo" in his handle. Anyways, Gaustad needs to stay. He is the very best in the face-off circle, and not just on the team. Outside of Pominville, I think Gaustad is the best team leader. This is what I don't understand. Everybody says " Trade him, Trade him, Trade him." and I say, "for whom?" Everybody is on the "Trade Miller" Bandwagon, yet nobody seems to realize Miller is our only profitable player. We would not get somebody in return that would equal Millers star power. To get something worth while for Roy, he would have to be a package deal. Picks and prospects to out weigh his poor play and cap-hit. Who goes along for the ride? McNabb? No. Kassian? No. Adam? again, no. I say ride this season out, it's not unrealistic the team doesn't make the playoffs. Take what you can get for Roy, and see what happens. Or maybe I am just used to mediocrity, right? How about I have a stable head on my shoulders and can comprehend the economics of the game. This isn't Columbus, Outside of Reiger, this team has potential. Reiger is good as gone anyways, I'll take what happens this year and look forward to next.
