Watch Chad Rau best Tim Thomas

Feb 19, 2012, 5:36 PM EDT

Minnesota-native Chad Rau is playing in just his fifth NHL game, but he can now say that he’s gotten one by a two-time Vezina Trophy winner. Check out Rau’s goal below.

Rau gave the Wild a 1-0 lead and Minnesota is currently up 2-0 early in the third period. This is Rau’s second career goal. He also scored in his NHL debut on Jan. 21. If the Bruins don’t score, then both of Rau’s first two goals will prove to be game winners.

Loved Emrik’s line: “what the bruins need is a pair”. Lol. Chuckled for a
Bit. Great game for the Wild!

haha, missed that one , but you are right thats funny. I’m a hugd B’s fan but hes right and the team tha pu in the better effort won the game no two ways about it. I’ll be surprised to see the same team that left for this road trip return from it. PC needs to move some bodies in a major way, a shake up is needed. I think he’ll deal Krecji for some size/heart up front. the 4th line is the only line that could skate off with heads held high today.
    good game Wild!

I think your wrong there my friend…. The krecji, lucic, line had some excellent chances and a lot of solid pressure , but just couldn’t bury their chances.

It will be interesting to see what PC does do considering Horton and Peverly absence is really taking away from the Scoring over all the lines.
