Check out Teemu Selanne’s 20th goal

Feb 19, 2012, 7:30 PM EDT

According to the Anaheim Ducks, Teemu Selanne is the oldest player to reach the 20-goal milestone since 1976-77. Selanne is 41 years old and he’s still averaging close to a point-per-game. He’s been seriously considering retirement for a few seasons now, but if he wanted to play in 2012-13, we have no doubt that there would be plenty of interest in his services.

Maybe he should come play for the Wings and be a part of something special. Get that last good run in.

the wings are garbage. if he want to win a cup he should be a penguin.

Wow, shut up. Teemu isn’t coming to your team. I swear, half of the Redwings and Penguins fans think their team is the only Stanley Cup contender in the league, and that any elite player would be crazy to consider playing for any team but theirs.

Anyway, Teemu is amazing. Gotta love what these Ducks are doing right now.

It seems it might be asking a bit too much for the informative writer of this informative entry just who it was in 1977 who also had 20 goals past age 40.

Cheers Teemu. A true freak of nature. We could still use you up in Winnipeg…
