Seattle is a wasteland and to move the Phoenix Coyotes from the best city in the USA were it is always sunny and warm and so many national landmarks to a place were it never stops raining and cold as hell would just flat out suck!

As a long-time Coyotes fan, I’m heartened by this news. Get this resolved, because I’m sick and tired of hearing all the baloney from so-called “experts” who have no idea what’s really happening here. The thoughtful commentary being offered is especially well exemplified by the earlier comment about golf and horse racing. This is akin to me making observations about the epidemic of frozen brains possessed by northeners in areas wher the snow never melts and everyone has to kill their food.

Didn’t Colangelo learn the first time when he moved Phoenix to the Jets. I really wonder about the mental capacity of people who say the NHL can make it in Phoenix. They have lost money EVERY year they’ve been there. Not 1 or 2 or 3 years – EVERY year!! Even when they DID make the playoffs. No other business would ever allow this but Gary Bettmans. This is a c**k measuring contest for him as he refuses to admit hes wrong

As a girl who’s lived her entire life in high desert country in New Mexico I can confirm that you can sell hockey to people in the desert. I hate the Coyotes (because a couple of Coyotes players were mocking the Bang Bang Dance after they beat my Avs last year) but I hope they can stay in Phoenix.

I think once we see some playoff success with the Coyotes (If they stay in the dessert) attendance will rise. When picking up the sport in 2000, this was my favorite team (Living in Pittsburgh it obviously switched over quickly to the Penguins) but there is still a spot in my heart for the Coyotes.

I hope Phoenix gets to keep their team. If the Northerners get their way the sport will never grow. It can be successful even in the desert.

Cant you people in Phoenix ask for somthing you will attend? Say like a new golf course or racetrack. NHL in Phoenix is like a cactus, it’s living but it’s prickly and no one wants to touch it.
